Many people consider tasty food to be in the food and many people will argue this point with a thousand pages of evidence which will overwhelm most.
Yes, i do agree that a lot of the taste is in the food but you got know the other side of the story also. if you are hungry, then even a biscuit will taste awesome and if you are not hungry then even the most delicious food will seem tasteless.
So what are your arguments to prove this point? Tell and we’ll have a friendly discussion (unless you know you are going to lose).

From my school days I have a vague memory of school dinners not being so bad. We used to have chips and gravy and some sort of meat. For puddings we would have angel delight, sponge cake and custard, or rolly poly cake. Nonetheless we still used to sing songs which would discriminate against the food, such as “Food glorious food, cold custard and mustard.”
Then at break we used to have a carton of milk – this was suggested by the prime minister at the time, Margaret Thatcher. It was to ensure we all got the recommended amount of calcium. However I hated milk because more often than not – it was warm as it had been sat in the sun! YUCK!

I am so angry about the proposed minimum price for alcohol. I am not an alcoholic, therefore why should I have to pay more for my alcohol just because some inconsiderate and self indulgent people cannot resist the urge to drink themselves into a stupor? If people have been classed as alcoholics then they should be the ones paying more – not me!
It is those people who are costing the NHS thousands and are causing the break down in civil society. That minority should be punished, not the genuine people, like myself who enjoy a civilized drink in moderation on the odd occasion.

I am going to make spaghetti bolognaise tonight – it is one of my favourite meals ever. I am going to buy some of Tesco’s finest mice meat. Once i have the meat I will prepare all my other ingredients, such as dice the onions, mushrooms and garlic. I will them brown up the meat in a separate pan. Once the meat is brown I will drain off any excess fat in the bottom of the pan. Next I will add a beef stock to some boiling water and then put the mixture all together with a Ragu Sauce.
I have also bought some garlic bread and parmesan cheese to go with the meal – yum! In addition to this, we are having a nice glass of wine to go with the spaghetti bolognaise meal.

There are thousands of different types of curries. My favourite is Lamb Bombay Special from my local Indian restaurant called the Indian Plaza. This curry has a boiled egg in it and potatoes – it is amazing and really fills you up.
My boyfriend likes the hotter curries such as madras or vindaloo, personally I don’t think it is worth going to a restaurant and paying good money just to have your mouth burnt off and not be able to properly taste the food as your mouth is burning off! If you prefer you have had a nicer more subtle curry like a korma – which will not make you sweat!

I have to make a confession – I LOVE FOOD! I am going for tea at my sister’s house tonight. She is 18 months younger than me and she has just had a baby. My nephew is seven months old and my sister is off work on maternity leave, she is at home with the baby all day every day. She gets bored and that is why she is invites me and my boyfriend round for tea so she has something to do and also some company in the evenings. Tonight she is making us chicken tikka curry, with nice white rice and some peshwari nan bread – I am going to race home to eat it and have a nice glass of wine to accompany my meal – I can’t wait!

It’s a barmy-sounding claim, but a number of experts in the wine industry are starting to believe that the lunar cycle has an influence on the taste of wine.
A moon wine calendar has been produced by specialist Maria Thun and her son Matthias, called When Wine Tastes Best: A Biodynamic Calendar For Wine Drinkers. Many who have tested the wine on different days and then referred to the calendar have noticed a considerably different taste.
Even Marks & Spencer are on board with the idea, one winemaker Jo Aherne saying:
“Someone checked the calendar and we found that the first day had been a fruit day, when the wines were expressive, exuberant and aromatic, and the second a root day, when they were closed, tannic and earthy. Further rather unscientific tests have confirmed our view.”

According to a report by wine banking service Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), wine sales in the US are predicted to soar by as much as 12 per cent in 2010.
SVB provides commercial banking for fine wine companies as well as predicting future trends in wine sales and consumer buying behaviour. Its annual ‘State of the Wine Industry’ report predicts that the end to extreme price cuts in US wine is coming to an end, and that fine wine sales will subsequently flourish.
The report explained how large-scale producers and established big-name brands with wide distribution are expected to benefit, but that smaller scale wineries may find 2010 a little tougher.

Celebrity chef and all-round angry man Gordon Ramsay is on the receiving end of a lawsuit after a wine merchant in the US claims he racked up more than £27,000 ($40,000) in unpaid bills.
Mr Ramsay used the Wineberry America merchant to supply his prestigious restaurant in Manhattan’s London hotel. In the lawsuit, the wine merchant claims he was ‘fraudulently induced’ to supply the two-Michelin-starred restaurant with alcohol, also believing that Ramsay never intended to pay for any of it from the start.
Ramsay made a statement to the press saying that all unpaid bills will be sorted out and paid as soon as possible.
